Built for performance and showroom, the Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing -mandrel-bent aluminum tubing designed to fit many performance compact sport vehicles. Each kit is dynamometer tested on a rear-wheel drive for increased horsepower and torque. Intakes Typhoon come in one of three designs; cold air intakes (CA), ram short air intakes (SR), or full cold air intakes (CCA) that can be configured either as a cold air inlet or a short ram intake. They come with a high-flow conical oversized air filter designed to provide greater surface area and dust capacity. This additional surface area provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard replacement K & N O / E than is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversized air filter also captures more dirt extending lifespan before cleaning isrequired (up to 100,000 km). Some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for use in California and other states that adopt California emissions standards, while others are CARB exempt and 50 state legal.
